Our Story

L & tank

Aquarius AquaCare began with a personal journey of discovery. For years, I spent much of my free time playing video games, but after going through significant life changes and becoming a first-time father, I found myself searching for something new—something grounding. That search began with gardening which eventually led me to aquaponics. The connection between fish and plants fascinated me, and I wanted to learn more. I started small with a one-gallon aquaponic tank, not realizing how much it would change my life. I started with a betta fish in that tank (we pay tribute to him in our logo), but it didn’t feel right; I wanted to go bigger, to do better for the fish. I made the decision to sell my video game collection and invest in a 55-gallon setup. That choice sparked what has now become a full-blown passion—and family business. At Aquarius AquaCare, my goal is to share that passion with others by helping them create aquariums that aren’t just tanks, but living works of art. Every aquarium has the potential to bring beauty, calm, and life into a space, and I strive to make that a reality for each of my clients.

Involuntary fish owner Hannah is a musician by trade. Although she never would have chosen this life, Hannah has embraced Manny's new passion. She helps with the logistics behind the scenes, helped create and maintains the website, admires all the fish, and occasionally helps collect snails.

Leonora has fully embraced the life of a fish owner. She gives them lots of conversation, loves to gently pet the betta tanks, gives a daily "night-night", and reorganizes the equipment at every chance she gets. She loves her "ish" and her "snays" and is very glad that her dad decided to fill the house with more pets!
